MINISTRY OF SOCIAL SERVICES

Department of Health

The Niue Foou Hospital is currently in need of;

 

1. STAFF NURSES, Short Term Contracts – NIUE FOOU HOSPITAL (2 Vacant Positions)

Qualified and registered nurses to carry out the duties required to support the Principal Nursing Officer and the Nursing Division at the Health Department, in caring and treating of all patients seeking or requiring medical assistance, either as outpatients or who is admitted into the hospital for further treatment.

2. MIDWIFE/MATERNAL CHILD HEALTH NURSE (1 Vacancy)

An experienced and caring midwife to join their healthcare team to provide quality prenatal and postnatal care, counselling and education to the expectant mothers, examine patient during the course of the pregnancy, and assist the patients in creating birthing plans.  To ensure good health and well-being of the new-born and mother during delivery and postnatal care.  The midwife will also be responsible for the provision of immunisation and reproductive health services at the Maternal Child Health Clinic.

3. Physiotherapist (1 Vacancy)

To provide a specialised Physiotherapy Assessment, Treatment and Rehabilitation service within an interdisciplinary team environment, for patients’ that have suffered from sport related injuries, rehabilitation, physical injuries, orthopaedic problems, antenatal and postnatal care and age related conditions.  To achieve an optimal level of function as a result of physiotherapy intervention.  The physiotherapist will contribute to the team by providing physiotherapy input to clinical best practice of the hospital.

Ridge to Reef Project

The Ridge to Reef Project is currently in need of;

 

1. Technical Officer, Contract (1 Vacancy)

Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager to whom he/she will report, the Technical Officer will serve as the in-house technical expert in the PMU for the effective implementation of project activities. The Technical Officer will foster close working relationships with project partners providing technical input into the project and will work closely with members of the R2R Advisory Committee, as required, to ensure the provision of technical expertise and input into the project are of the highest quality.

All applications must include a recent copy of your Curriculum Vitae with at least two references.
