For the past week, we have been diligently operating with three generators, while awaiting the necessary repairs for the fourth generator. The Cabinet of the Government of Niue (GON) today announced that it would continue to retain the current retail petroleum fuel and gas prices but has approved an increase in the cost of jet fuel.

The retention of current petroleum fuel and gas prices means that retail petrol prices will stay at $3.50cpl, and retail diesel prices will be retained at $3.70cpl.  GONs Cabinet has decided that there will be no change to powerhouse diesel pricing, which is also retained at $3.11cpl.  Read more…

The Government of Niue (GON) announced today that Niue’s index (first positive) case of COVID-19 will have to complete a 14-day quarantine period, as per protocols for a positive case.

The close contact of the case will also remain in quarantine for a further period of time and monitored by health officials until cleared.

Alofi, Niue – 13 October 2021 – The Government of Niue’s (GON) Cabinet met virtually with Public Health Expert Dr Collin Tukuitonga on Tuesday the 12 October 2021.
