Niue Immigration has officially launched its upgraded ASYPX border management system, a key advancement in improving the efficiency and security of the country’s immigration services.

The upgraded system processes data instantly, allowing passenger clearance to be completed in under 60 seconds. This will support smoother entry and departure for all travellers.

ASYPX now features integrated risk-profiling tools and analytics, providing officers with improved visibility of travel patterns and better support for informed decision-making. The upgrade brings Niue in line with international standards and further strengthens cooperation with Pacific partners.

During the first live flight using the new platform, regional expert Mr. Rizwan Khan commended the Niue Immigration team for their strong performance during the transition. The Immigration staff adapted quickly to the new system and reported smooth, stable operations from the first day.

This upgrade reflects Niue’s commitment to improving border infrastructure and supporting national development through technology. Niue Immigration extends its appreciation to Ms. Dhanushki Sahabandu, Regional Coordinator for the Pacific at UN Trade and Development, for her leadership and coordination in delivering the new ASYPX version. Special thanks are also extended to Mr. Mohammed Rizwan Khan, Expert from UNCTAD, for his work on the development and implementation of the upgraded system.

It is important for all travelers to note that all Online Declaration for Arrivals and Departures now require passport scanning as a mandatory step as of Friday, 21st November 2025. Niue Immigration expresses its gratitude to PACER Plus for funding support, which made this upgrade possible.
