Liku Village Council, through the Niue Ocean Wide (NOW) funding provided by RMAC, has successfully undertaken improvements to their sea track.
The project commenced in early February and concluded at the end of March 2026, with funds utilised to upgrade the road and surrounding area. Plans for future development include cementing the hill and constructing a car park to facilitate easier access for residents and visitors to the sea track.
We acknowledge the valuable contributions of the Department of Utilities - Civil & Quarry, Big Foot Services, and the Public‑Private Partnership in completing this project. Their efforts have been instrumental in enabling the community to enjoy improved access to the sea track, which supports local livelihoods and enhances food security.
This project represents a significant step towards sustainable development and improved infrastructure for the people of Liku Village. The project has now progressed to the Lakepa Village Sea Track, where similar upgrade works are currently underway.
