The Niue Honours Awards
The Niue Honours Awards granted annually by the Government of Niue are open for nominations throughout the year.
There are three awards that you can nominate a person whom you think is highly deserving of an award. The National Awards Committee will be looking for initiatives that demonstrate outstanding services as follows:
The Distinguished Service Award
This award celebrates individuals who have contributed many years of outstanding service to the people and nation of Niue.
This award celebrates the achievement of individuals who have contributed many years of outstanding service to the people and nation of Niue.
- Nominee’s achievements
- How they have made a difference in Niue and its people.
- Longevity of service
- Demonstrated innovation, entrepreneurship and improvement of the lives of others.
- Exemplified selfless voluntary service
The Public Service Award
This award celebrates individuals who have served in the Niue Public Service and have contributed significantly to the public service and nation.
- Nominee’s achievements
- How they have made a difference in the Public Service or field of work
- Longevity of service
- How they have demonstrated innovation, entrepreneurship and improvement of the lives of others.
- Exemplified selfless voluntary service
The Community Service Award
This award celebrates individuals who have served or contributed significantly to the community and nation.
- Nominee’s achievements
- How they have made a difference in the Public Service or field of work
- Longevity of service
- How they have demonstrated innovation, entrepreneurship and improvement of the lives of others.
- Exemplified selfless voluntary service
Nomination Process
Nominations are accepted all year round.
Nominations for the Niue Honours Awards 2022 will close at 4.00 PM on 7 October 2022.
